Pumps for Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) systems

Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) technology enables the heat present in geothermal power plants to be converted into clean electricity in an efficient manner. 

Apollo supplies the high-pressure and circulation pumps required for this process. Reliable pumping of aggressive media such as ammonia or butane is guaranteed.

Climate-neutral fuels – Sustainable mobility and industrial processes

Climate-neutral fuels are crucial for reducing CO₂ emissions in the transport and industrial sectors. Our pump systems are ideal for transporting synthetic fuels derived from renewable sources. The following pump types can be used for this purpose:

High-performance feed pump for pumping fuels from renewable raw materials

The horizontal, multi-stage, high-pressure Apollo TGD barrel-type feed pump was specially designed for the production of climate-neutral fuels from renewable raw materials. With a delivery rate of 170 m³/h of heavy vacuum gas oil at 2050 m and a drive power of 1.2 MW, it ensures maximum operational reliability and efficiency. Equipped with an Apollo lubricating oil system, a Plan 53A system for mechanical seal cooling, a cooling device, a cartridge unit and a gearbox, it is ideal for demanding refinery processes.

 

Pumps for BioLNG

 

Apollo supplied a single-stage end suction pump to a technology group that liquefies biomethane and synthetic methane from renewable energy sources to produce carbon-neutral fuel. These pumps circulate a water-glycol mixture within the water-glycol cooling system.
