What are vertical process pumps?

According to API 610, they are technically designed centrifugal pumps that have been specially developed for the process industry. They are characterised by their robust construction and high efficiency, and can handle demanding operating conditions and corrosive media. They are available in both single-stage and multi-stage versions.

Types of vertical API centrifugal pumps

TheVS1 submersible pump is a vertical, multi-stage, high-pressure pump optimised for medium to high flow rates. Its robust design is impressive. Compliant with API 610 and ISO 5199 standards, it offers outstanding operational reliability and excellent NPSH values. In the HPVX pump type, the first impeller is suspended.

The VS4 is a vertical, single-stage submersible pump. It is frequently used in water treatment and energy generation. This vertical, single-stage volute casing pump is designed for both wet and dry installations, offering a range of immersion depths to meet various requirements.

The VS6 pump is a vertical, multi-stage, high-pressure pump of can-type design that has been specially developed for applications requiring high pressure. Apollo offers a comprehensive product portfolio of pump types. This includes the HPTV high-pressure pump, which is ideal for critical applications, particularly in refineries and other industrial settings. In contrast, GSTV/GLKV models are increasingly being used for water transport in energy production.
