Apollo supplies vertical NH3 feed pumps for an Australian solar park.

It is time for us to start looking at the challenges related to renewable energy sources. Innovative technologies exist for solar power generation and storage that can help meet these challenges. RayGen relies on a breakthrough technology that combines PV Ultra and Pit Thermal Energy Storage (PTES) to ensure an always reliable, environmentally friendly and on-demand power supply. Apollo has supplied an NH3 feed pump for this project, an Apollo high-pressure pump in a vertical can design, type HPTV-80D/4. The process pump delivers 125 m³/h of ammonia to 295 m and has a suspension depth of 4 m. The scope of supply also included two side channel pumps of the Apollo type KCD-50/6. The horizontal pumps with axial inlet are used as dewatering pumps / ORC motive feed pumps and pump ammonia (NH3), like the vertical high-pressure pump.

Our delivery of NH3 pumps to the solar facility shows we can take an important step towards sustainability. We are pleased to have supported this excellent project.
