APOLLO SUPPLIES TO HEATING POWER PLANT BERLIN-MARZAHN

Apollo Gößnitz GmbH has supplied 21 pump units for the new combined heat power plant Berlin-Marzahn. For the pump and plant manufacturer, this order is of major importance in view of tense situation in power plant industry.

The process pump package was delivered to the natural gas-fired gas and steam turbine power plant Berlin-Marzahn, which will be erected by Siemens as general contractor. With the new erection of the power plant, the energy supplier Vattenfall Wärme Berlin AG will supply the eastern part of Berlin with district heating and electricity.

The Apollo scope of supply included seven main pumps and fourteen auxiliary pumps for various applications.

The two pieces of feed water pumps of Apollo-type HPD-150B/8 with a drive power of 1.5 megawatts and a pressure design of 250 bar, as well as the vertical district heating condensate pumps of Apollo-type
GSTV-200A/1+3 of can-type design, play a central role in the project. Three other district heating pumps of Apollo-type ZMK-500/630, each with a drive power of 2.1 megawatts and a delivery rate of 5113 m³/h, were also of great importance for Apollo in completing the order.

In order to minimize the noise level in the power plant, several units were equipped with noise enclosures.
After successful testing and final acceptance at Apollo, the commissioning is planned for 2020.
