MOVED INTO A NEW OFFICE

Big step towards the future

The order books of Apollo Gößnitz GmbH are bulging and space for the pump units and employees has become limited.

For these reasons it was or is necessary to invest at the location in Gößnitz and among other things to build a new administration building. The groundbreaking for the new construction of the two-story administration building with 800 m² office space took place at the beginning of 2018. However, even after moving into the building in February 2019, the construction measures were ongoing. It is also necessary to renovate and design the existing buildings and office sections.

But not only in a new and in the existing office buildings was invested. But also in further machines for a more modern and optimized production of parts, software and new employees. Among other things, a sandblasting system for carbon and stainless steel was purchased, a hot water high-pressure cleaning system and a new 32 t crane runway for the assembly areas. Two of the new machining centres in the mechanical production department are a CNC-controlled shaft lathe, which can machine pump shafts up to 2 m, and a 5-axis machining centre.

Another innovation at Apollo Gößnitz GmbH is the introduction of system access to the CAD-PDM system in the pump/unit assembly department. This enables the employees to carry out paperless assembly work on the pump units. Colleagues in the assembly department can now access sectional drawings or part lists for individual processes on a daily basis, measure individual components themselves in the system or view the designed units in 3D. With this access, the time-consuming consultations with colleagues from other departments can be reduced and consequently an optimal workflow can be ensured.

There are also other investment plans or plans at the site. In the coming years, for example, the production halls are to be expanded and a new large parking area and a possible new factory entrance are to be created.

Apollo is a constantly growing company that places high demands on the quality and manufacture of process pumps and system systems for the global oil and gas market. Last but not least, this is also the result of many years of striving for high technical standards as well as the implementation of know-how by each individual employee.

Apollo is constantly looking for new team members to join the traditional company on its way into the future and do their part to keep the positive development going.
