Efficient, high-pressure pumps for geothermal energy

Apollo Goessnitz GmbH supports the generation of sustainable energy with its range of process pumps. As part of a project in Turkey, powerful vertical can-type pumps are being used as the main circulation pumps in an ORC power unit.

Geothermal energy is one of the most promising solutions for sustainable and future-proof energy generation. Apollo's vertical multistage high-pressure pumps play a significant role in enhancing the efficiency and reliability of geothermal systems, thereby ensuring they operate at their best.  For example, at a geothermal power plant in Turkey, our powerful vertical pump is used as the main circulation pump for the ORC (Organic Rankine Cycle) power unit. It delivers 1,120 m³/h of n-butane, reaching a delivery head of 420 m with a power of almost 900 kW.

Apollo has supplied high-quality centrifugal pumps to numerous geothermal plants worldwide.  As demand for renewable energy grows, the importance of such technologies becomes increasingly apparent. Apollo offers precision pump technologies that are specifically designed for sustainable energy generation.

A geothermal power plant stretches across a wide landscape. The power plant consists of several large metal tanks and chimneys that submit steam. Around the power plant are green meadows and green mountains that highlight the natural environment, a blue sky with scattered clouds.
