Apollo has delivered two BB3 high-pressure pumps to an oil field in Britain

Apollo Goessnitz has successfully delivered two BB3 high-pressure pumps to the largest oil field in the United Kingdom for use in a floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) system.

Apollo Gößnitz GmbH is pleased to announce the successful delivery of two BB3 high-pressure pumps to a British oil field. These high-performance pumps were specially developed for use in a floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) system, representing an outstanding technical achievement by Apollo.

The supplied Apollo AMG pumps are horizontal, multi-stage, axially split, intermediate bearing high-pressure pumps in accordance with API 610, Type BB3. They function as high-capacity oil circulation pumps. They deliver 320 m³/h of crude oil/diesel with an output of almost 1 MW.
The process pump is equipped with a seal supply system that ensures reliable and efficient sealing. Vibration dampers optimise operational safety and pump longevity. Each pump is also equipped with a local motor control station for user-friendly, precise control of the functions. The pumps have been successfully tested at the Apollo test site at a test pressure of 168 bar.
